Biographical History

Anna Starr was born February 3, 1850, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Charles Welcome Rockwood when she was twenty-two years old, and together they had seven children. In 1896, the family moved to Iona, Idaho. In 1914, her husband Charles died. On February 3, 1950, Anna celebrated her 100th birthday, for which she received a telegram from the President of the United States, Harry S. Truman. Anna Rockwood died on October 2, 1950.
