Biographical History

Brigham Young was born June 1, 1801 in Whitingham, Vermont. He joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1832 and became its leader in 1844. He led the church's pioneer exodus to the Salt Lake Valley. Brigham served as President of the church until his death in 1877.
