The collection contains Ralph Bay Hutching's journal from the period he served as mission president for the Zaire Kinshasa Mission, 1 July 1987 to 17 March 1988. Included is the dedicatory prayer as well as a letter from President and Sister Hutchings at the end of their mission.

Biographical History

Ralph Bay Hutchings (b. 1917) is a physician in California. He served in France as a young missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and graduated from medical school. He presided over the France Toulouse Mission and served in Zaire, Africa, with his wife as a missionary.
