Scope and Contents note

The Myrth Burr history of Burr Orchards was written by Myrth Burr between 1998 and 2008. She and her husband Dick compiled the memories they had of the their childhoods, the orchard, and the Native Americans who worked with them in the orchard. The majority of the memories are about Burr Orchards, one of the last remaining orchards in Provo, Utah area.

Biographical History

Myrth Burr was born 9 March 1921 in Escalante, Utah. She married Dick Burr on 17 November 1941 in the Provo Courthouse. She and Dick founded Burr Orchards in 1949, and ran the orchards until they sold them in 2002, after Dick's death.
