Scope and Contents

Journal contains descriptions of the experiences Walter Lewis underwent during his time spent as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Wales at age 24. Though much of the journal is dedicated to missionary work and religious experiences, Lewis also takes time to write about his correspondences, the area he was living in, and also gives personal detail to many of the Latter-day Saints he worked with while in Wales. This journal covers the year of 1878. The journal does not give the starting date of Lewis' mission, but this journal is probably one of multiple journals Lewis kept while on his mission.
