Biographical / Historical

Simeon Adams Dunn (1803-1883) was a Mormon pioneer in Utah.

Simeon Adams Dunn (1803-1883) was born on August 7, 1803 to Simeon Dunn and Sarah (Sally) Bath. He was born in New York. In 1825, they moved to Michigan. He there married Adeline Rawson in 1828. He was interested in politics and so began to work as the town clerk of Van Buren Township, later to be elected treasurer. He was baptized into the Mormon church in April 1839, then joined the Saints in Nauvoo and later in Utah. He served a mission to Canada. Simeon Dunn was a settler in Brigham City. His wife died in 1841, after which he married Margaret Snyder, who died in 1846. He then married Jane Caldwell, Margaret Atwood Silver, and Elizabeth Wickham. He had twenty-one children combined. He died on February 20, 1833.
