Three holograph diaries containing brief accounts of the weather, mining activities in Nevada and daily life in Sacramento and Placerville, California. Also includes a pictorial letter dated 1854 October 29, Sacramento, California to his sister Caroline G. (Britten) containing accounts of teaching and church experiences.
