Scope and Contents

Paper written by Earle R. Forrest and read at the Fourth Annual Historical Convention sponsored by the University of Arizona and Arizona Pioneers' Historical Society, Tucson, March 15-16, 1963. Reminiscent account of working for various cattle companies in northern arizona during the 1880s and 1890s. Photocopies of typed excerpts from Forrest's paper and copy of an 1881 deed. The deed transfers title on 420 acres of land belonging to John W. Young (1844-1924) over to William T. Thornton and the First National Bank of Sante Fe (NM) as a security on a $20,000.00 loan.
