Barton Orville Aylesworth correspondence

 Collection — Multiple Containers
Identifier: MSS SC 826

Scope and Contents

This collection consists of letters sent to Barton Orville Aylesworth in response to his inquiries. Aylesworth asked these writers of both fiction and factual books to tell him about themselves and about their writings. The replies were mostly short, autobiographical, and often included lists of publications. The letters were usually hand-written and were signed by the authors. Most of the authors sent only one letter, but several sent two, including Bliss Perry (1860-1954), William Wetmore Story (1819-1895), and Julia Magruder (1854-1907).
