How do I get help?
Email the general reference staff with a specific question at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (801) 422-3175. There are also several ways to get help on the Perry Special Collections finding aids site. Help is available on every view of finding aids in the Perry Special Collections finding aids site.
Contacting a curator with a specific question
To contact a curator from any level of a finding aid, click on the name in the lower right hand corner. This will open an e-mail dialogue box and allow you to submit your question directly to the curator.
Contacting the general reference staff with a specific question
To contact our general reference staff with a specific question, click on the “Ask us a Question” link and fill out the form. When you click “Submit” the form will be submitted to our reference staff.
How do I request materials?
To access materials in person you will need to come to the L. Tom Perry Special Collections reference desk (1130 HBLL). The Perry Special Collections reference desk is located on the first floor of the Harold B. Lee Library.
You will need three pieces of information to access a collection:
- The call number
- The collection title
- The box, folder or item number of the materials that you are interested in viewing.
- If digital images are available, you simply click on the link next to the label: Images.
If digital images are not available, you may request that items may be digitized by clicking on the “Submit Request Digitization” link illustrated here:
You will have two options:
- Request that the item be placed in a queue for review by the Perry Special Collections staff for possible digitization.
- You may purchase a digitized copy of the file or item for your own research use.
Through Inter-Library Loan
Manuscript materials are not available through Inter-Library Loan
