Collection of human condition legends

Dates: 1962-2004

Contains legends about various aspects of the human condition. Items were collected by students in folklore classes at Brigham Young University and Utah State University from 1960 to 2007. Most of the items are typewritten, but a few of the older items are handwritten. Many of the items contain a description of how, when, and where they were collected as well as explanations of social and cultural contexts.

Collection of legends on occupation or avocation. 9. Collection of legends on courtship or marriage. 10. Collection of legends on family. 11. Collection of legends on polygamy. 12. Collection of legends on animals, nature, and weather. 13. Collection of legends on sickness. 14. Collection of legends on human traits. 15. Collection of legends on local or family characters.
