The atheist cemetery / Katie Aston

The atheist cemetery / Katie Aston

Dates: 2005 January 29

Report by Brigham Young University folklore student Katie Aston, who collected information from Betty Aston. One atheist has lived in town; his grave is sealed with a chained marble slab to prevent his rising in the Rapture. The slab bears a memento-mori rhyme and has become a destination for thrill-seeking teenagers.
