Urban legend / Tipaleli Fotu

Urban legend / Tipaleli Fotu

Dates: 2004 October 31

Report by Brigham Young University folklore student Tipaleli Fotu, who collected information from Rachel Lagerstedt. According to the story, a girl babysitting sees TV news about the escape of a criminal but is unconcerned because the doors are locked. She receives two silent phone calls (except for breathing), hears noises from upstairs, and calls the police, who immediately call back: They heard the criminal hang up not quite simultaneously with her. She goes to get the kids and flee, and a man who has killed them cuts off her head.
