Ben Bahlmann interview with David Henry Hawkins

Dates: 1999

Typescript of an interview conducted by Ben Bahlmann on 16 June 1999. The audiocassettes from which the transcript was made were retained by Bahlman. Hawkins was stationed with the Marines on the aircraft carrier, Enterprise, during the first months of World War II, and he participated as a gunner in the Battle of Midway. Later, he participated in the Battle of Peleliu.
