Custodial History
This collection was originally part of the Vasco M. Tanner collection, donated in installments from the 1970s-1990s. The materials relating to the Cluff Expedition were subsequently removed. These items were donated to Special Collections in 1982.

Biographical History

The BYA Expedition, spearheaded by then-President Benjamin Cluff, Jr., consisted of a team of students, administrators, and faculty who traveled through Central and South America from 1900-1902 to do archaeological study of the Book of Mormon.
