Biographical sketch

M. Monroe (most likely Marcellus Marion Monroe-Martin) was born on 16 November 1825 in Manchester, Virginia, to William Martin and Charlotte Robiou. On 18 November 1855 he married Lucinda Busenbark in North Ogden, Utah. A month following her death in June 1885, Marcellus married Josephine Jensen in Clifton, Idaho, on 24 July. Marcellus Monroe remained in Clifton as a farmer until his death on 31 January 1908. William Bowker Preston was a prominent figure and a successful businessman during the early years of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was born on 25 August 1864 in Logan, Utah, where he lived until his death on 13 August 1907.
