Biographical History

The Brewers were a Mormon family in Arizona. John H. Brewer (1878-1950) had moved with his family to Pinedale, Arizona. He married Catherine Webb (1879-1956) in 1897, and they had fourteen children. They later lived in the Gila Valley, Arizona; in Mexico; in Lebanon, Arizona; and in Yaqui Camp, Arizona. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, several of the family's children served as Mormon missionaries. Their daughter Harriet Brewer (Platt) (1924-1993) served in the Texas-New Mexico area, speaking Spanish, and Alice May Brewer (Saily) (1919-2010) served in the Southern States Mission.
