Contains the "Record of Missionary Labors" of C. Fred Berghout. It contains a log of his everyday progress while serving as a missionary in the Netherlands. It also contains a few journal entries as well as records of baptisms, confirmations, baby blessings, ordinations, and other blessings he was able to give while serving. Materials dated 1926-1928.

Biographical History

C. Fred Berghout (1905-1992) was a Mormon U.S. Army veteran.

Christian Fred Berghout was born on August 15, 1905 in Ogden, Utah to parents Leonard and Cornelia Margaretha Weening Berghout. He served his first Mormon mission in the Netherlands from 1926-1928. He then served in the Army during World War II.

He married Lucile Maria Neff on June 3, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Together they had three children. He and Lucile served three missions together in Florida, Washington D.C., and Switzerland.

Berghout passed away on March 8, 1992. He is buried in Salt Lake City, Utah.
