Katherine A. Howard Brockbank diaries
Dates: 1871-1922
Diaries written by Brockbank, covering fifteen different years: 1871, 1872, 1873, 1874, 1875, 1888, 1889, 1890, 1891, 1892, 1893, 1894, 1917, 1919 and 1922. There are photocopies of the original handwritten diaries, and a typed version. The last entry is written on December 31, 1922. Each diary has a little note in the front about who gave her the diary as a gift. In the back cover, there are names and addresses. Brockbank writes about her daily activities, the health of her family, the growth of her children, her sewing work, her trip to England in 1890, and her church work.

Biographical History
Katherine A. Howard Brockbank (1843-1928) was a Mormon woman in Salt Lake County, Utah. She was a talented housewife and kept a detailed journal.
Katherine A. Howard Brockbank was born to William and Elizabeth Howard on April 25, 1843, in Belfast, Antrim, Ireland. She lived in Salt Lake City and Murray, Utah, and married Isaak Brockbank in 1860. She loved to sew dresses and quilts and often spent seven hours a day sewing, as well as cook. She died on December 27, 1928 in Salt Lake City.
