Biographical History

Ellen H. Gullikson (1874-1945) was a Mormon seamstress in Ogden, Utah.

Ellen Haleen Gullikson was born August 21, 1874 in Stockholm, Sweden to August and Charlotte Johnson Haleen. In 1887 the family converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and immigrated to Utah. They lived temporarily in Pleasant Grove before settling in Ogden. In 1893 she married Gullick Gullickson in the Salt Lake Temple, and they had four children. Her husband was a tailor, and she became a professional seamstress. In this capacity she designed and sewed costumes for the Moroni Olsen Players, an Ogden-based repertory theater company. Gullickson died in Ogden on February 22, 1945.
