Biographical History

H. Bartley Heiner (1907-2000) was a teacher in Utah.

Henry Bartley Heiner was born on March 30, 1907 in Morgan, Utah to Henry and Margaret Melissa Robison Heiner. He attended the University of Utah, the University of Wyoming, and Brigham Young Unversity, from which he received a bachelor's and master's degree. Bartley worked for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for most of his career teaching and directing seminaries and institutes. He also worked as a sheep and cattle rancher and construction and carpenter contractor at different points in his life.

Bartley married LaVerne Farr on June 2, 1930 in the Salt Lake Temple. After LaVerne died in 1979, he married Shirley Parker Marshall on April 1, 1980 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bartley served in various callings throughout his life and served a mission for the Church in Australia from 1926 to 1928.

On September 2, 2000, Bartley died in Ogden, Utah.
