Sidney Rigdon letter to Martin Van Buren, 1839 November 9
Scope and Contents
Letter introduces Joseph Smith and Elias Higbee to Van Buren and indicates their having traveled to Washington to obtain redress for the persecution of the Church in Missouri. Rigdon also mentions Smith and Higbee are taking his place in delivering a package of letters of recommendations to the President.
