Administrative History

The White and Blue (1897-1923) was Brigham Young University's first viable campus newspaper publication. It was first published under President Brimhall and addressed student issues of the time.

The White and Blue replaced the Student, and the paper was published twice a month — on the 1st and 15th. The staff of 5 to 9 people, which represented various colleges and departments across campus, wrote all articles. Yearly subscriptions were available for 50 cents at first, but a few months later the price went up to 75 cents a year.
