Scope and Contents

Materials include a portion of a letter to Sally Phelps from William Wines Phelps, dated September 11, 1835. Phelps asks Sally not to go to her mother while he is away, because travel would be too dangerous at the time. The letter also discusses revising hymns for the hymn book; transcribing Joseph Smith's translation of the Pearl of Great Price, and says that his friends, including Joseph Smith, enjoy reading Sally's letters. Dated 1835.
